ASUS employees voluntarily formed teams to serve as “volunteers with shovels” and support post-disaster reconstruction in Hualien
In September 2025, Typhoon Ragasa severely affected Guangfu Township in Hualien. Flooding caused by the Mataian Barrier Lake incident sent floodwaters rising to approximately the height of a one-story building, leaving residents’ homes inundated with mud. In response to the sudden disaster, the ASUS Foundation quickly mobilized support. ASUS employees voluntarily answered the call, forming two groups totaling 51 volunteers who traveled to the affected area to assist with recovery efforts. The Foundation also launched a charitable fundraising campaign, raising NT$3,445,000 to support the rebuilding of local homes and communities through concrete action.
Dream x Art Project
In 2025, the ASUS Foundation and the Taipei Orphan Welfare Foundation held the "Dream Character Art Camp" under the theme "An Art Journey with Childlike Wonder," inviting 30 bereaved children and youth from Taichung, Changhua, Yunlin, Chiayi, and other regions to participate. ASUS Design Center employees served as volunteers, accompanying the children into a colorful world of art. Through courses such as "Expressing Emotions with Colors" and "Finding Myself," the camp guided children to recognize their inner feelings, learn to express themselves through color and creation, and cultivate creativity and confidence through diverse media such as cement vessels and handmade figurines.
ASUS partnered with Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation to hold e-Sports Competition for Environmental Protection and Disaster Prevention
With the goal of "deepening digital learning on campus and jointly enhancing sustainability literacy," the ASUS Foundation has partnered with the Tzu Chi Charity Foundation for four consecutive years to promote the Environmental Protection and Disaster Prevention Warrior Development Project. Combining the PaGamO online learning platform with esports-style learning experiences, the program integrates environmental protection and disaster prevention education. Through online courses, hands-on learning, and competition mechanisms, it guides students to understand key issues such as climate change, resource circulation, and disaster response through interaction and challenge, gradually building correct knowledge, attitudes, and values. The program also combines online learning with offline experiences, extending environmental protection and disaster prevention concepts from campuses to families and communities, putting sustainable actions into practice in daily life and cultivating citizen literacy with future resilience. In 2025, the program was jointly guided by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Environment, National Fire Agency of the Ministry of the Interior, Water Resources Agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the Agency of Rural Development and Soil and Water Conservation of the Ministry of Agriculture. Throughout the year, the program attracted 124,592 students in Taiwan, 1,525 in Malaysia, and 259 in Thailand.
Charitable Donation and Sponsorship
In 2025, ASUS organized charity donations and a fundraising campaign for post-disaster care following the Hualien Matai'an landslide-dammed lake incident. By connecting the goodwill of employees, ASUS sent warmth to different corners of society and donated funds to organizations such as the Kids' Bookhouse, TFCF Matsu Service Center, Children's Hearing Foundation, Chung Yi Social Welfare Foundation, and Puli Christian Hospital. The donations supported diverse areas including child and youth care, assistance for disadvantaged families, and supplementation of medical resources. Since launching employee charity fundraising in 2012, ASUS has cumulatively supported 38 social welfare organizations and raised more than NT$40 million, continuously accompanying students, families, and seniors through challenges at different stages of life.
